Don’t grab the sleds just yet, kids. It’s not a snow day.
But you are getting a half day to start your year in the Morris School District, thanks to the weather.
Because of excessive heat and humidity, back-to-school day–Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018–is being shortened, school officials announced on Wednesday.
Here is the scoop, from the District:
MSD Early Dismissal Thursday, 9/6/18
All MSD schools will dismiss early Thursday 9/6/18 due to excessive heat and humidity. We will operate on a 4 hour 20 minute schedule. Start times will remain the same as a normal school day. All MHS students should arrive by 7:50 am. Please see below or school website for the early dismissal times. The sunset program will NOT operate. Coming home students will arrive at their bus stop 2 hours earlier than the time listed on their bus card.
Dismissal times are as follows:
LLC – Session 1: 12:25pm
LLC – Session 2: 1:25pm
