THURSDAY, AUG. 30, 2018:

Say it ain’t so!  It’s the final 2018 installment of Meet Me in Morristown, the monthly summertime sidewalk fair presented by Morris Arts and the Morristown Partnership. Business sidewalk sales start at 11 am, arts and entertainment runs from 5 pm to 9 pm. The Break Lights Band headlines on the Green from 7 pm to 9 pm. Also on the Green:

  • Yoga, Art & The Art of Movement (5:30-6:30 PM) – free open level yoga class by South Street Yoga & Nutrition. Open to all ages. 
  • The Kearston Bros (5:00-6:30 PM) – a brother trio performs in front of the fountain. 
  • Boat Sailing By Thayne (5:00-9:00 PM) – sail a hand-carved boat in the fountain.
  • Logo Design Contest (5:00-9:00 PM) – help craft a logo that communicates the importance of safe bicycling and roadway sharing practices.

The Dixietones, a local teen Dixieland jazz band, will perform at 5:30 pm outside the Morristown & Township Library for Meet Me in Morristown. Free, at One Miller Road, Morristown. Bring a lawn chair!

Final weekend: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison presents Noël Coward’s comedy Blithe Spirit, directed by Victoria Mack. Tickets start at $49. At 36 Madison Ave., 973-408-5600.

FRIDAY, AUG. 31:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Pastime Club of Mendham presents its annual Labor Day Carnival, which runs through Monday at Doubleday Field (at Mountain and Park avenues) in Mendham Borough. It’s open from 6 pm-10 pm through Sunday, and from mid-morning to 9:15 pm on Monday.

The Minstrel in Morris Township presents No Fuss and Feathers, with opener Michael Arthur, at 7:30 pm. Admission: $10;  age 12 and under, free. No Fuss and Feathers includes the YaYas, former Red Molly Carolann Solebello and Karyn Oliver.  At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 1:

The Morris Plains Farmers Market is back, from 9 am to 2 pm every Saturday through Oct. 6, 2018, on Merchant’s Block, next to the Model Railroad Club.

The Morris Plains 53rd annual Block Dance and Prize Drawing is scheduled for 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm on the Merchant Block, near the train station. Free music and rides. Rain date: Sept. 2.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 2:

The Morristown Farmers Market is back, at 8:30 am every Sunday through Nov. 18. At Lot 10, behind the Post Office, between Dumont Place and Morris Street. Presented by the Morristown Partnership.

MONDAY, SEPT. 3, LABOR DAY:

Mendham Borough’s Labor Day Parade starts at 10 am, proceeding from East Main Street along Mountain Avenue, past the viewing Stand at the Gazebo.
