From the Morris Township Department of Public Works:
The Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin the ANNUAL OVERLAY PROGRAM on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018. The following streets have been designated for milling and paving in 2018:
- Carlton Street
- Emmett Avenue
- Featherleigh Road
- Fox Chase Lane
- Knollwood Drive.
- Lake Road (Lake Valley to Morristown line)
- Laura Lane
- Old Harter (Rt. 202 to Harter Road)
- Raskin Road
- Searing Avenue
- Walt Whitman Drive
The program is expected to last four to five weeks with an estimated completion date of Sept. 28, 2018.
Initially the roads will be milled to remove the old pavement, and then resurfaced with new asphalt. Delays are to be expected on the designated roads as well as all adjacent roads. This project is weather related and, therefore, the completion time may be extended if crews are delayed by rain or inclement weather.
The following streets have also been designated for milling and paving in 2018:
- Meslar Road
- Pembroke Road
- Warwick Road
At this time we anticipate the process on these streets to begin in mid-September.
