Congressional candidate Mikie Sherrill took a turn as a server on Wednesday at the Table of Hope soup kitchen, at the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Morristown.
Sherrill, a Democrat, will face Republican Assemblyman Jay Webber in the November race to succeed retiring Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11th Dist.).
State Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco (R-25th Dist.), Morris County Sheriff James Gannon and past Sheriff Ed Rochford are among elected officials who have volunteered at Table of Hope in the past.
