From the Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation:

With so much unlucky weather, Morris Township had to reschedule many of our movie and concert nights. Come visit us at the Ginty Pavilion all three nights!

The Heart Of Gold band kicks off our exciting week on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at 7 PM. The band is made up of local artists Joe Bilotti, guitar and vocals, Joan Bujacich, keyboard and vocals, John Hummel, drums and Joe Howell, bass. They will be playing the best of classic rock with songs from Neil Young, Bowie, Yes, Traffic, Led Zeppelin, Frampton and much more!

On Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at dusk, we will be showing the animated Disney movie Despicable Me 3. The mischievous Minions hope that Gru will return to a life of crime after the new boss of the Anti-Villain League fires him. Instead, Gru decides to remain retired and travel to Freedonia to meet his long-lost twin brother for the first time. The reunited siblings soon find themselves in an uneasy alliance to take down the elusive Balthazar Bratt, a former 1980s child star who seeks revenge against the world.

Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at 6:30 PM will be our second concert with The Belle Tones. The Belle Tones celebrate music’s great harmonic girl groups with class, panache, and fun. Songs in their repertoire are from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. The girls have a special place in their hearts for our veterans and currently serving military and always honor them through patriotic songs. Additional songs range from country tunes, Broadway, jazz, and holiday songs.

Information on all of Morris Township’s events are available by calling the Parks and Recreation Department, weekdays from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM at 973-326-7371 or online at www.morristwp.com.
