Morris Township police are planning “heavy patrol related activities” in response to continuing thievery involving cars.

On Wednesday morning, a theft from a vehicle was reported on Normandy Parkway, along with other suspicious activity. This follows similar reports from Fillmore and Lindsley drives earlier in the week.

Here’s the latest statement from Police Chief Mark DiCarlo:

This morning, officers received two reports of suspicious activity and theft from a motor vehicle on Normandy Parkway. The victim has video footage of the suspects entering the vehicle and then peering into the home. The suspects are wearing gloves and masks to conceal their identity. At this point the only description is two males, unknown race.

On Monday evening several other vehicles were unlawfully entered and were victim to thefts. We are uncertain if last evening suspects are the same suspects from Monday evening. The incidents are similar in nature. The similarities are the time of the thefts, relatively same area of town, accessible to the highways and targeted unlocked vehicles.

Please lock your vehicle doors and home doors. Assure any video camera systems you have are operating. Report suspicious behavior immediately. There will be heavy patrol related activities in the area.
