THURSDAY, AUG. 9, 2018:

The Road to Change bus tour by survivors of the high school shooting in Parkland FL will visit Morristown’s Lidgerwood Park from 11 am to 3 pm. Read our preview.

Where does the late Vivian Maier fit in the pantheon of 20th century photographers? Dick Eger, art collector and former president of the Arts Council of the Morris Area (Morris Arts), will weigh in at 7 pm at Morristown’s 70 South Gallery, where Maier’s work is on display. FRIDAY, AUG. 10:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Organist Anne Matlack performs with saxophonist Eric Donough, for a half hour starting at 12:15 pm, at Grace Church, 4 Madison Ave., Madison. Freewill donations welcome; $7 lunch follows.

Morris Arts continues its Gateway Totems series from 5 pm to 7 pm with an exhibition by photographer Jake Santiago, with music by Sanelsane. The series highlights “artists of all backgrounds and artistic abilities” while aiming to “celebrate Morristown’s immigrant community.”  Free.  At the Gateway Totems, outside the Early Street Community Garden. Rescheduled from Aug. 1.

The Minstrel’s revamped open stage offers two stages, to ensure everyone gets a shake at performing. Arrive at 7 pm to sign up; performances start at 7:30. Admission: $5; age 25 and under, free. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.

SATURDAY, AUG. 11:

The Morris Plains Farmers Market is back, from 9 am to 2 pm every Saturday through Oct. 6, 2018, on Merchant’s Block, next to the Model Railroad Club.

Discover Colonial Morristown on a walking tour with local historian and Alexander Hamilton expert Pat Sanftner, at 10 am. Tickets: $15, limited to 30 people. Tour meets at 6 Court St. Call the Morris County Tourism Bureau at 973-631-5151.

Dig it! Plant it! Eat it! at Morristown’s Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, from 10 am to 11:30 am. Children can learn how Macculloch Hall grew, prepared, and stored fruits and vegetables in olden days; also explore the garden, observe pollinating insects and birds, and create art. The Morristown Farmers Market is back, at 8:30 am every Sunday through Nov. 18. At Lot 10, behind the Post Office, between Dumont Place and Morris Street. Presented by the Morristown Partnership.
