Two Crimes of the Week in the same week is a distinction few towns would clamor for.

But authorities are hoping the publicity can help them solve a pair of crimes in Morris Township.

Earlier this week, the Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers program highlighted an unsolved armed burglary attempt.

Now, the program also seeks help cracking a road rage incident that injured a motorcyclist on Sunday.

A vehicle “purposely struck” the motorcyclist at 3:15 pm near 435 South St., according to Morris Township police.

“According to the victim, an unknown male (unknown race) driving what is believed to be a silver 2016-2018 Chevy Cruze, struck the motorcycle causing it to leave the roadway. The driver/victim of the motorcycle suffered an ankle injury and abrasions,” police said.

The suspect vehicle left the scene, and may have damage to the passenger side mirror and scratch marks near the passenger side front fender, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators here or call 973-COP-CALL. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $1,000, and they say tips can be offered anonymously.
