As always, there’s plenty to do in Greater Morristown this week for little to no cost.

Tuesday, July 31, 2018:

Tony DeMeo and Take 9 will be performing in Morris Township at the Ginty Field gazebo at 7 p.m. This event is free and part of the Morris Township Parks and Recreation Department’s summer concert series. Bring your own blankets/chairs!

Wednesday, Aug. 1:

From 3-6 p.m., Grow It Green Morristown will host a pop-up farm stand full of fresh produce at the Early Street Community Garden (17 Early St., Morristown).

This event has been rescheduled to Aug. 10, 2018: From 5-7 pm, Morris Arts will showcase photos by Jake Santiago, outside the community garden at the Gateway Totems,  as part of its summer series celebrating Morristown’s immigrant community.  Music by Sanelsane will accompany this show.

At 7 p.m. the Morristown and Morris Township Library will present a free screening of the movie HEAL: Change your mind. Change your body. Change your life. The hosting group traditionally discusses books on spirituality, but has opted to watch this film, which is suitable for mature audiences.

Coco posterA free outdoor movie night starts at 7:30 pm with family fun and games at Ginty Field in Morris Township, followed at 8:30 pm by the Disney-Pixar movie COCO (PG). The field is next to the Morris Township Municipal Complex on Woodland Avenue. The parks and recreation department encourages everyone to “bring the whole family, blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks to enjoy this free Big Screen outdoor movie.”
