People knew her as a nanny. Until she died. Then the world discovered 140,000 images that distinguished Vivian Maier one of the 20th century’s most intriguing photographers.
Finding Vivian Maier, a 2015 documentary about this mysterious artist, will be screened at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Morristown’s 70 South Gallery on 70 South St., where 22 Maier photos are on display through August.
The film will be followed by a discussion with Ann Marks, a former New York executive who has pored over Maier’s archives and interviewed many of the late photographer’s acquaintances for a biography.

Photo fans may want to start their evening at the Gateway Totems, at 17 Early St., where photos by Morristown High School alumnus Fredy Martinez will be exhibited by Morris Arts between 5 pm and 7 pm. Admission there is free.
