Find out at lunchtime this Tuesday, July 10, 2018, when the New York-based BALAM Dance Theatre presents the fabled Hindu epic, Ramayana: Abduction of Sita.
It’s part of the free summer series Music Beyond Borders, presented by Morris Arts and the Mayo Performing Arts Center on the historic Morristown Green.
The contemporary dance unfolds from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Rain venue: The Morristown United Methodist Church, 50 S. Park Place.

On Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock, bring your beach blanket or lawn chair to Morris Township’s Ginty Field for a free concert by the Hanover Wind Symphony. It’s the third in a series of eight Tuesday night concerts presented by the Township Department of Parks and Recreation.
On Wednesday, July 11, round up the kids and head back to Ginty Field for a free screening Peter Rabbit (PG). Deejay music starts around 7:30 pm, and the movie begins around 8:30 pm.
Or, if air conditioning is your thing, head to Morristown’s 70 South Gallery at 7:30 pm for a free concert by Mama D & The Vexations, “a high-energy cover band from Morristown with a soulful edge,” and twentysomething singer-songwriters Annalyce D’Agostino and Scott Jung, whose music spans rock, pop, country, and Irish. It’s part of the Mayo Performing Arts Center’s free “Arts in the Community” summer series.
