Morris Township police are investigating two forced entries to homes on Bell Drive and Cottonwood Road on Friday.
Three males may have been involved in the break-ins, which occurred between 6 pm and midnight, probably between 9:30 pm and 10 pm, Police Chief Mark DiCarlo said in a statement on Saturday.
The residences were unoccupied, and entry was through the front door. Items were stolen, the chief said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Township police at 973-539-0777.
“Any information may help. We are also asking if residents in the area have video surveillance of the outside of their homes to contact us as well,” said DiCarlo, reminding residents to lock all doors and give the appearance that someone is home.
