Year nine was a good one for the annual Our Youth Their Future youth rally at Cauldwell Playground in Morristown, as these photos from Saturday by Morristown Green photographer Bill Lescohier attest.

Our Youth Their Future was established in response to a teen suicide.

Morristown Council President Toshiba Foster, a co-founder of the nonprofit, said the organization’s mission is to give young people tools to “make sound decisions…in an increasingly complex world.”

Mayor Tim Dougherty and former Councilwoman Michelle Dupree Harris stopped by. The New Jersey Royals provided the basketball thrills.

Foster said the event could not have happened without generous support from the community. Horseshoe Tavern, Tashmoo, Nonna’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant and the Galapagos Restaurant donated food.

It was grilled and served by Bethsaida Chapter 7, OES-PHA and Tyrian Lodge. The Mayor sponsored the moon bounce.  Remy Pharr hosted the basketball game. Artist Rashana Evans performed face-painting, and Pam Underhill and Ryo were guest performers.
