The Catholic order that runs the Delbarton School in Morris Township has settled lawsuits by five men alleging monks there sexually abused them as boys, the Daily Record reported this week.

Settlement terms were not disclosed. The lawsuits named five monks, including a school headmaster, according to the article.

More lawsuits are pending against the Order of St. Benedict of New Jersey and St. Mary’s Abbey, which runs the school, reports the newspaper, citing documents that allege one priest admitted to sexual encounters with 50 boys.
