‘Denim & Diamonds’ gala to boost Morristown tutoring, meals programs, May 7

Celebrate the graduation of 2017-2018 SOAR students

The Spring Street Community Development Corp. will be hosting its 2nd Annual Denim & Diamonds Gala fundraiseron May 7, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency in Morristown, NJ. 

Tickets are available at $145 per person. There also will be a Tricky Tray and Silent Auction.

Proceeds will be used to expand and sustain the SOAR, SOAR Summer Bridge, and Table of Hope programs.

The keynote speaker is Esperanza Porras-Field, founder and president emeritus of the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce.

The Student Outreach and Academic Reinforcement (SOAR) improves students’ lives one tutor session at a time. SOAR enhances the academic and social developments of 5th graders through educational support, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities.

SOAR connects disadvantaged youth with a caring community through partnerships with the Morristown School District, the College of St. Elizabeth, and Bethel A.M.E. Morristown Church.
