Looking for some Great Conversations? Morris Arts has ’em, starting at 6 pm at the Madison Hotel in Morris Township. Dine with luminaries from the arts, business and sports, while supporting this nonprofit arts organization, and honor volunteer extraordinaire Joen Ferrari. Tickets: $250. At 1 Convent Road.
The North Jersey Civil War Round Table presents The Reel Civil War: The Civil War as Portrayed in the Film Classics, a talk by Jersey City University Prof. Bruce Chadwick, at 7:14 pm at the Haggerty Education Center of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 353 E. Clean out your medicine cabinet! It’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and local law enforcement safely can dispose of your old, unused prescriptions. Drop them off between 10 am and 2 pm at the Stop and Shop Supermarket, 245 Littleton Road, Morris Plains; Shoprite of Greater Morristown, 178 East Hanover Ave., Cedar Knolls; or the ACME Supermarket, 690 Millbrook Road, Randolph.
Carettes Inc. of Morris County hosts its 53rd Annual Debutante and Esquire Ball at 6:30 pm at the Hanover Manor, 16 Eagle Rock Ave., East Hanover. The nonprofit Carettes provide financial scholarships to minority students. More details are here.
