Who knew “nor’easter” was a four-letter word?

Just as Greater Morristown is enjoying the joys of electric lighting again after two blockbuster storms, here come two more.

The National Weather Service has issued another Winter Storm Watch, forecasting five- to eight inches of snow as back-to-back nor’easters on the mornings of Tuesday, March 20, and Wednesday, March 21, 2018, “merge into a single intense storm off the mid Atlantic coast by Wednesday afternoon.”

Up to a foot of snow is possible in some locations, along with a tenth-of-an-inch of ice.

“Travel plans will be substantially altered by Wednesday. Consideration should be given to no unnecessary travel Wednesday afternoon and evening when the heaviest snow with 1 to 3 inch per hour accumulation rates should occur,” the National Weather Service says.

The Winter Storm Watch extends from Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening.
