From the Tamara Harris campaign:

Tamara Harris, who is running in the Democratic primary to fill the Congressional seat in the 11th District of New Jersey officially opened her campaign headquarters in Morristown, N.J. on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

More than 50 people passed through the campaign office to welcome the congressional candidate. Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty, who has stated he is staying neutral in the primary, welcomed Tamara to Morristown. He and his wife, Mary Dougherty, who is running for Morris County Freeholder, were among the residents in attendance.

Tamara Harris spoke about how she would put people before politics in the 11th district by reforming the tax code, enforcing strict gun control, and improving healthcare so that everyone has access to affordable coverage.

A campaign staffer introduced her acknowledging that Tamara is not a career politician, nor is she endorsed by the major political bosses.

“She may not be the candidate of the political bosses, but she is the candidate of the people,” said a spokesperson for the campaign.

“The people should have the right to decide who they want to send to Washington to represent their interests and not have any one person forced down their throat by the political bosses.”

  1. As of 8/21 one of her campaign signs is still up on the corner of Kingston Rd. & Littleton Rd. in Parsippany. The election was in June. How long do you leave the signs up for? You should donate a dollar a day to a local food pantry for every day the sign is up after the election. All politicians should it would help a worthy cause and get those darned signs down faster!

  2. We need a Democrat in the 11th. Your trashing of Sherrill will only make it easier for Webber or some other Republican to win a seat we SHOULD win.

So back off. Run a positive campaign and I’ll consider voting for you on June 5. If you don’t, you’ll never get my vote–EVER.

Train your fire on Republicans. Leave fellow Democrats alone.
