Winter isn’t quite done with us.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Friday, March 2, 2018, from 11 am to 4 am on Saturday, March 3.

Look for rain turning to snow by mid afternoon. Greater Morristown only may get a couple of inches, but they could come during the evening commute, accompanied by strong winds from a nor’easter:

“Plan on very difficult travel conditions, including during the evening commute on Friday,” the National Weather Service advises.

“The combination of strong northwest winds gusting to 50 mph and heavy snow could create near-blizzard conditions with visibilities below
one-half mile at times.

“The heavy, wet nature of the snow and
strong winds will likely cause damage to trees and power lines
that will lead to scattered power outages, especially at higher
elevations.”
