The Cupid’s Chase 5K comes to Morristown on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, and it’s bringing some road closures.
Police advise motorists to expect Early Street, Mills Street and Sussex Avenue to be closed from approximately 9:45 am until 11 am to accommodate the runners on the course.
Also anticipate brief closures on portions of Colonial Road, Milton Place, Kenmuir Avenue, Hazlett Street, Sherman Place, Tuxedo Place, Walker Avenue, Cutler Street, Willard Place, Marian Place, Frederick Street, and Ralph Place.
Organized by Community Options Inc., the race raises money to help people with disabilities.
Police will be stationed along the route to help residents access the affected areas prior to race.
During the race, the above roadways will be closed to all vehicular traffic to ensure safety of the runners.
All roadways should reopen by 11 am. Anyone going to Morristown High School can access the general parking lot from Atno Avenue, best accessed from Washington Street.
“Please use caution if you are traveling in this area on Saturday, or plan an alternate route,” police advise.
