Dear Editor:

The open comment window for the Pruitt-led EPA’s intentions to repeal our Clean Power Plan expires on Jan. 16, 2018.

For the public, this means that we are in a limited time window in which public opinions on the idea are welcome, and if any of us want to stand up for the Clean Power Plan, its compliance with the Paris Agreement and emissions-reduction public health benefits, we need to do while there is still time.

Please go to this link, or type it into a browser window: http://tinyurl.com/CPPcomments.

On that page, click “Comment Now” to write and submit a public comment.  Bearing in mind that these comments are in fact public, stay professional and don’t give out too much of your personal information. If you need more information about the Clean Power Plan first, visit https://tinyurl.com/cppbenefits.

If you prefer to submit comments by email, fax or regular mail, instructions follow.  Make sure to include “Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2017-0355” in the subject line or opening, so the comment is properly filed:

If by email, send to: a-and-r-docket@epa.gov.  If by fax, send to (202) 566-9744.  If by mail, send to: Environmental Protection Agency, EPA Docket Center (EPA/DC), Mail Code 28221T, Attention Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2017-0355, 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20460.

Please do this.  It’s your democratic right under current procedural rules. Our clean air, climate action plans, environment and public health are at stake.  Thank you.

Best,
Christine Clarke
