The College of Saint Elizabeth announces the appointment of three members to its Board of Trustees: Lois Mancuso, Conrad Person and Camelia M. Valdes, Esq.

“We are pleased to welcome these three individuals to the board,” says CSE President Dr. Helen J. Streubert. “They bring unique skills that will advance the mission and vision of the College.”

Mancuso, of Morristown, N.J., is dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness and accessibility of education for all children. After graduating from Notre Dame College of S.I./St. John’s University, with her bachelor’s degree in history, Mancuso began her career as a teacher in New York City. She went on to earn her master’s in education and certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant from Seton Hall University. She was a member of The N.J. Governor’s Committee on Children’s Services Planning, co-founder of The Morris County Partnership, a partnership between New Jersey corporations and the County of Morris to enrich public school educational programs. She has also served on board of directors for several non-profits including, New Community Corporation, The Boys and Girls Club of Newark and as executive director of the READY foundation, a non-profit educational foundation supporting inner city youth. Currently she is president of Whisper Productions, Inc., a web based company that develops children’s interactive educational learning tools.

Person, of Philadelphia, Pa., worked in several capacities for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) including positions in manufacturing, human resources and corporate citizenship for over 35 years. Most recently, Person served as the executive director for corporate contributions at J&J where he oversaw an advisory committee that issued grants totaling millions annually to programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Person established the Medical and Surgical Skills Institute, a surgical training lab that serves over 10,000 doctors and nurses annually, in Accra, Ghana. He developed the company’s enduring commitment to surgical care for women living with childbirth injuries, and instituted nursing scholarship programs that serve 200 African students annually. Person is a graduate of Princeton University with a bachelor’s in English.

Valdes became the first Latina county prosecutor in New Jersey when she was appointed to the position in Passaic County in 2009. In her career, she’s served as a municipal prosecutor in Newark, N.J., a deputy attorney general in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, as an assistant United States attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark, N.J and more. Valdes received her bachelor’s in sociology from Seton Hall University, her law degree from Rutgers Law School-Newark, and the Masters of Law (LLM) degree in trial advocacy from Temple University School of Law. In 2016, she was named the 2016 Latina Lawyer of the Year by the Hispanic National Bar Association and was CSE’s 2017 Commencement speaker.

Mary Colleen Robinson has a communication degree with a concentration in journalism and is currently working as the PR/Social Media Specialist at the College of Saint Elizabeth.
