The Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre and Hot House Jazz Magazine salute the 2017 Fans Decision Jazz Awards with a holiday concert featuring Female Jazz Vocalist winner Champian Fulton and Male Rising Star winner “King” Solomon Hicks, at 7:30 pm. The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green resumes this weekend. Today’s schedule:
Santa House: 2 to 8 p.m. – Santa visits and photos* (Photos are $10)
Tent: 4 to 5 p.m. – Morristown High School Marching Band – performing a Christmas Carol variety
The Folk Project’s Holiday Benefit Concert promises fun and surprises, starting with a 7 pm carol-sing, followed by a 7:30 pm concert featuring Carolyn Messina, Gordon Thomas Ward, Sharon Goldman, We Three Ukes and a Frosty Morning reunion. Suggested donation: $15. Proceeds benefit The Minstrel’s weekly host, the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, home to this event, at 21 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.
The New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker brings all the pageantry and splendor of this holiday classic back to Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center at 7:30 pm. Featuring the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Tickets:$29-$69. At 100 South St. Call 973-539-8008.

The weekly indoors Morris County Winter Farmers’ Market is back, from 10 am to 2 pm at Alexander Hamilton School, 24 Mills St., Morristown. It’s here each Sunday through April 15, 2018.
No Christmas is complete without Handel’s Messiah. Matthew Webb will conduct Part 1 of this famed oratorio, with a baroque chamber orchestra and the Choral Scholars of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, at the church’s 10 a.m. service. Admission is free; all are welcome. At 57 E. Park Place.
