A Morristown man drove his pickup truck through a fence, down a retaining wall, and into the back porch of a house on Pine Street on Monday morning, according to police.
The driver, Christoph Kemendo, 29, told police he has a medical condition and has no recollection of what happened after he headed eastbound on King Place shortly after 8 am, said the report by Officer Christopher Little.
Kemendo’s Dodge Ram truck sustained heavy front end damage and had to be towed from the scene. But he had no complaints of pain or injuries and declined medical attention when Atlantic Health’s EMS unit responded, police said.
No injuries were reported at 17 Pine St., either. The Morristown Fire Bureau and town building code officials inspected the porch and deemed it and the house structurally sound, police said.
