At least one of Tuesday’s unsuccessful GOP candidates in Morris Township blamed her defeat partly on a backlash against President Donald Trump and Gov. Chris Christie.
But the victorious Democrats think there’s more to it than that, as they explain in this video recorded at the Morris County Democratic Headquarters in Morristown after the polls closed.
Cathy Wilson and John Arvenites defeated incumbent Committeewoman Louise Johnson and her Republican running mate, physician Nicole Saphier, by sufficient margins to avoid another epic recount.
(Former Township Committeeman Jeff Grayzel, a Democrat, narrowly lost such a recount in 2015.)
Now that they’ve actually won, what will the Democrats do?
Wilson and Arvenites spell out their priorities in the video. They also have some choice words for their opponents.
