“It’s love… but not quite.”
Morristown High School’s fall comedy, Almost, Maine, is fast approaching. Working with the directing team of Michael Maguire, Katie Adams, Katie Brady and Ralph Losanno, the cast tells tales of nine couples falling in and out of love through a series of charming one-acts.
“This season of Morristown High School Theatre has a whole lot of heart,” says director Maguire.
“We are so excited about how Almost, Maine is coming together. You will laugh, you will cry. It is an amazing show. Although many people have not heard of it, it is a modern classic and you will start to see it everywhere… it is so well-written and poignant.”
The comedy highlights couples experiencing love or loss on one wintry night in Almost, Maine. Each scene is a play in and of itself, as the characters never appear again.
However different in their love stories, each couple is united in their quest for love and journey through loss.
Creating a production entirely its own, the MHS theatre department will include actors performing student-created, interactive vignettes before the show, throughout intermission, and after the show, to truly transform the school into the not-quite town.
Morristown High School’s Almost, Maine will take the stage for four performances only, so make your way to Almost, Maine the weekend of Nov. 16-19, 2017! Tickets are on sale at https://mhs.booktix.com/.
