The last thing anyone wants at a pumpkin illumination is heavy wind. You get a lot of 50-pound pumpkins flying around, and suddenly you’ve got pumpkin pie on your face.

So, after checking the forecast for Sunday, Morris Arts has opted to push this year’s Eighth Annual Halloween Pumpkin Illumination to Monday evening, Oct. 30, 2017, starting at 5 on the Vail Mansion lawn.

That gives everyone an extra day to carve something spectacular. Look for live music, crafts for the kiddies, a parade and of, course, the lighting of the pumpkins.

See you there!
