Women’s Day Raises a Record High for Homeless Families in Need

On Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, Homeless Solutions held its 10th Annual Women’s Day. The event drew 200 women from Morris and Somerset County for a day filled with wellness while raising funds for homeless families.

It has established a loyal following of attendees and evolved into the premier charitable event for women in Morris County.

Held at the Hamilton Farms Golf Club in Gladstone, attendee’s not only raised their heart rates but raised a record high of $65,000 in net proceeds for childcare. These funds are critically needed in helping shelter guests ensure their children are safe and secure while they look for permanent jobs and stable housing.

Attendees selected a morning exercise of either Golf, Yoga, Pilates, a Boxing Circuit, The Bar Method, 5K Run or a Power Walk, followed by a gourmet lunch, raffles, and services from Depasquale the Spa.

“This is my sixth year attending Women’s Day with each year being better than the last. It was a fantastic, fun-filled day that resulted in Homeless Solutions raising record-breaking funds to support homeless families,” said board member Sarah Canberg.
