As of 5:30 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, Morristown police are advising motorists to avoid lower Washington Street if possible. Here’s why:
Due to a power outage the traffic signals on Washington Street at Atno Avenue and at Mills Street are out, resulting in heavy traffic at these locations. The intersections are being controlled by police officers until the power can be restored and the lights are operational. Power crews are currently working on the problem. Please avoid this area and plan alternate routes if possible.
