MORRISTOWN RETREAT HOUSE RAISES VITAL FUNDS TO SERVE HOMELESS, ADDICTED AND THOSE IN RECOVERY

The Loyola Jesuit Center of Morristown will hold its 26th Annual Golf Classic on Sept. 14, 2017, at the Suburban Golf Club in Union, NJ, to raise critically needed funds for respite programs and services offered to the community—including those facing homelessness, addictions and in recovery.

Sponsorships and tickets are still available. Please register now—www.loyola.org. Your support will enable Loyola to serve those in need with its ‘Free Will Offering’ policy, where no one is ever turned away for financial reasons.

The Fr. Harvey Habestroh, SJ 26th Annual Classic will honor Charlie Kelchner Sr. for his exceptional service and devotion to Loyola Jesuit Center for more than four decades, as well as for his exemplary commitment to his community.

Our special guest will be the incomparable Jim Burt, former NFL champ and member of two Super Bowl winning teams—NY Giants and San Francisco 49ers.

When asked why retreats are so important, Director Renee Owens replied:

“I am greatly inspired by working with the homeless. It is my great privilege and joy to be a member of this retreat giving team. As part of the women’s retreat team, I see firsthand over and over again how their spirit is strengthened and filled with a sense of hope. I remember one retreatant said to me, ‘I never thought I could change for the better, however, being here has opened my eyes and I see a beautiful future.’

“This is far more than inspiring; it fills me with a deep sense of longing and compassion to do more and help more people.”

Inspired by the sponsorship support, and with gratitude for last year’s sponsors and golfers, we invite you to join us at Suburban Golf Club for a day of great fun, for a great cause!

Since 1927, Loyola Jesuit Center (a.k.a. Loyola House of Retreats) continues to welcome with open arms those from all walks of life who seek serenity, rest, healing and fulfillment.

Serving thousands of families, individuals and youth every year, Loyola responds to the fast-paced, frenetic lives we lead, by offering an extensive collection of respite programs and services.
