THURSDAY, JULY 13, 2017:
The Verizon Corporate Classic 5K starts on Morristown’s Maple Avenue at 7:30 pm and loops into Morris Township before returning to the start line. Motorists should avoid these streets; here is where you can cheer for the 4,000-plus runners:
The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the stars, in the amphitheater of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township. Performances through July 30, 2017, Tuesdays through Sundays at 8 pm, with an added 4:30 pm show on Sundays. Tickets: $37; patrons age 30 and under $30; youths 18 and under, free. At 2 Convent Road. FRIDAY, JULY 14:
Jazz in July swings into its 13th season at the Morristown & Township Library with a 7 pm concert that celebrates two centennials: The library’s, and jazz. The lineup features Joe Licari, clarinet; Randy Reinhart, cornet; Tom Artin, trombone; John Halsey, piano; Brian Nalepka, bass; and David Humm, drums. Admission: $20 at the door, to benefit the library. At One Miller Road, Morristown. A second jazz show is set for July 21.

SATURDAY, JULY 15:
The Morris Plains Farmers Market is back, every Saturday through Oct. 7, from 9 am to 2 pm on Merchant’s Block, near the Model Railroad Club Building.
Dig It! Plant It! Eat It!, a summer program for ages 3 and up, returns to Morristown’s Macculloch Hall Historal Museum, from 10 am to 11:30 am. Free. Activities include tending the garden, making pickles, learning about pollinators and creating nature-inspired art. At 45 Macculloch Ave.
