Winter became spring, and spring quickly is morphing into summer. And activists from NJ 11th for Change continue to show up for “Fridays Without Frelinghuysen” in Morristown.

This week they expressed disappointment with Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen’s (R-11th Dist.) support of President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, his vote repeal Obamacare, and his silence on other major issues.

  1. Rodney is picking up the negative characteristics of Spicer and Conway. He has blinders on when it comes to the voices of his constituents and his lack of response reaks of smug arrogance. Foolish voters keep bringing this dead horse back! He is merely an a”” kisser for Trunp!

  2. It seems he likes attending smaller events, which is probably more in his comfort zone and allows him to connect with people in a more significant way. Also, if he is supporting a local charity or school, who is going to start protesting and/or questioning him there? He would become the victim. Should we still continue calling attention to the lack of town hall meetings? Absolutely. He needs to intereact with all. However if he thinks he is going to be greeted by a mob of people who will not listen, perhaps he thinks it’s not worth it. If this is the case, I cannot fault him. To get the answers to our questions and to be heard, could we consider creating some ground rules for a townhall event where all feel safe to communicate? We could create communication standards for all participants. Lastly, we have the final say of who represents us so should we begin focusing on supporting and strategizing on a candidate who does represent our interests?
    What is the goal?
    Change R.F.’s opinions?
Create respectful and responsible dialogue between people with varying points of view?
    Vent our frustrations?
Join together to acknowledge our fears and find strength and courage together?
Perhaps all of the above. Let’s move forward…..together.

  3. Rodney Frelinghuysen voted against the environment, against women’s health, against healthcare for millions, and he won’t meet with his constituents. Who does he think he works for? Trump I guess.
