You can’t have a parade without a band…and Morristown Green is quite fortunate in that department

A video salute to our merry band:

Over the years, MorristownGreen.com has been blessed with wonderful volunteers who help us cover stories, organize film and music festivals and, yes, march in parades.

An enthusiastic and patriotic team represented MG at Saturday’s 2017 Memorial Day Parade in Morris Plains.

This year marks the centennial of America’s entry into WWI, and our Ukulele Brigade whipped up a Great War medley faster than you can say Over There. Thanks, Beth Bachmann and Roberta Foster!

Many thanks to our Kazoo Chorus, too:  Munah and Willa Hayes and Leslie Raff, a.k.a. The MG Dancers.

No parade would be complete without Patricia Sanftner of the D.A.R. as our Historical Re-Enactor. Thanks, Pat!

Our Unsung Heroes were Marie Tonini and her son Anthony, a star performer with the Borough School Band.  They were recruited at Saturday’s Memorial ceremony at Roberts Garden to bear Morristown Green’s colors, and they did us proud!

And last but not least, thank you to our crackerjack coverage crew: Correspondent Emma Piascik and photographers Bill Lescohier, Jeff Sovelove and Dave Sullivan.

The only thing missing was you! If you’d like to be part of the fun at MorristownGreen.com, drop us line.
