From the Junior League of Morristown:

On April 26, 2017, the Junior League of Morristown awarded our Annual Voluntarism and Woman Moving Forward Scholarships.

JLM was proud to award $10,000 in scholarships to four high school seniors ($2,500 each) who have demonstrated a strong commitment to voluntarism and another $2,500 to a woman who is returning to school after taking time away.

Congratulations to the following recipients:

John Dadouris, Gill St. Bernard’s
Mackenzie May, Morristown Beard School
Tina Lu, Whippany Park High School
Kelly Sallie, Thomas Edison State University
Matthew Wierzbicki, Montgomery High School

Since the inception of the High School Scholarship Fund in 1986 and the Women Moving Forward Scholarship Fund in 2006 the JLM has awarded more than $225,000 to more than 140 Morris and Somerset County area students.

Scholarship monies are raised during the League’s largest fundraiser, Lunch with the Authors.

The annual event, now in its 16th year, will take place next Friday, May 5, 2017, at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ. Tickets are still available.
