Membership Registration Opens for Morris Township Swim Pools

Morris Township is readying its two public swimming pools for a summer of fun and sun. Streeter Pool, located on Sussex Avenue and Inamere Road, and Ginty Pool, located between South Street and Fanok Road, both feature crystal clear waters and beautiful grounds for summer enjoyment.

Two years of renovations have resulted in many fun and exciting changes to the pools including a giant slide at each pool, special zero-depth entry family bays, shaded in-pool seating and splash play equipment for younger children.

Swim pool membership is open everyone, with discounted rates for Morris Township residents. Entry to both Ginty Pool and Streeter Pool is included in every seasonal membership.

The 2017 swim season will open on weekends beginning June 3rd and 4th, 2017, for both Ginty Pool and Streeter Pool. The Pools will be open on a daily basis from June 12th through Labor Day, September 4th.

Beginning June 23rd the pools open daily at 11:00 am (12:00 Noon on Sundays); and close at 8:00 pm through August 20th, and then at 7:30 pm until September 4th.

From June 26th to August 4th the pools will be open for lap swimming at 10:00 am in the morning during swimming lessons. The children’s wading and splash play zones at both pools are also open at 10:00 am on those same dates.

A special Season Grand Opening Party for the pool season will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Streeter Pool.

There will be food, DJ entertainment as well as a live band performance by Mid-Life Crisis at 2:30 pm, and a special visit by the NASH-FM Street Team during the day. Swim Registrations will be taken on site at Streeter Pool that day. Admission to the Open House is free to pool members and $5.00 per person for non-members.
