By Cheryl Beneduce Bock, founder Pedal for a Cure

I was haunted by that moment in 1999, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the thought of how many are waging their own battle today.

I consider myself one of the lucky ones …I’m a SURVIVOR. I realized my calling to help others battling cancer of all types.

In March of 2010, PEDAL FOR A CURE was created as a 501c3 organization for the purpose of raising funds for all cancer research. One hundred percent of proceeds goes directly to cancer RESEARCH!

I know I’m here for a reason and the reason is so clear–PEDAL FOR A CURE. As a master spin instructor with many years of experience in fundraising, I knew I could do this!

Since the founding of Pedal For A Cure, we have held more than 3 dozen events and have raised more than $500,000 that was given to RESEARCH.

On Sunday April 2, 2017, at SimplyCycle in Morristown, we are pleased to put on an event to raise money for Leukemia research.

We honor and celebrate Mr. Morristown, Jack Guerriero, who is going through treatment for Leukemia. Jack was diagnosed on Oct. 18, 2016, and has a great attitude, fighting hard with the will to beat this!

For those of you who know Jack, who owns the delicious Italian restaurant “Guerriero’s” in Morristown, you know that he leaves a lasting impression in your heart. If anyone needed Jack’s help, he would be there in a heartbeat!

For those who haven’t met Jack, don’t miss out. If you can’t make the event, or don’t want to ride, you can sponsor a bike and we will fill the seat.

Please search in your heart and know we all can make a difference together. To register please call me at 908-625-6637.
