The Whippany River Watershed Action Committee has re-scheduled a clean-up of the Whippany River to Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 8:30 am to noon.

Anyone interested in volunteering their time and efforts should come to the Bethel AME Church located on Spring Street in Morristown.

“After conferring with, Bethel AME Church Reverend Sidney Williams Jr., we have decided to postpone the Whippany River cleanup to April 1,” said committee Facilitator Art Vespignani.”

“With all the snow it would be difficult to see the trash and debris on the ground below, as well as safety concerns to volunteers walking around the river and adjacent areas.”
