Cheers to Vegan Food at Sunday’s Vegan Pop-up Shop

The New Jersey VegFest will host the second in their winter series of vegan pop-up shops at the Laundromat Bar on Sunday from noon until 6 pm. The Laundromat Bar is located at 4 DeHart Street and is 21 and over. The event is free, but you can purchase $5 “Cut the Line” tickets that benefit Goats of Anarchy.

The Feb. 26, 2017, event features eight popular food vendors:

Chia Star. This juicy line of chia seed beverages from Denville’s Sara Erb is vegan, gluten free and refreshingly delicious.

screen-shot-2017-02-23-at-7-06-04-amFogwood & FigOne of the most popular vendors at the January pop-up, Fogwood & Fig is back again with their line of burgers and will be featuring a crazy awesome tempeh burger on Sunday.

 

 

Freakin’ Vegan. This popular New Jersey duo features two brothers and their food obsession. 16722492_729947863831307_1262463774716352513_oThis week, they’ll be serving up empanadas, vegan mac and cheese and Buffalo Chik’n Sliders.

Mindful Kitchens.  Mindful Kitchens is from Croton-on-Hudson and makes gourmet plant-based deli slices, vegan pâté and more using only the highest quality ingredients.

Mo’Pweeze Bakery. This popular vegan bakery serves cupcakes that are also gluten fscreen-shot-2017-02-23-at-7-02-47-amree and nut free. They will be making the trip from their newly opened storefront in Denville. Named Best Bakery 2016 by Bergen Health & Life Magazine.

Tamerlaine Farm Animal Sanctuary. Tamerlaine Farm is a haven for farmed animals in Northern New Jersey, but also has a scorching good line of vegan hot sauces.

 

16835972_771364806353638_4897887625742164677_oYeah Dawg! Reinventing the American classic hot dog, Yeah Dawg will be serving their home-made soy-free and gluten-free dawgs that are blend of root vegetables, seeds gluten free flours and spices. At Sunday’s pop-up shop in Morristown, they’ll also be featuring their take on a New Jersey classic sausage & peppers! They also will be offering packages of their dawgs to go.

 

The vegan pop-up shop will also feature Homemade Betty’s line of organic, fair trade skincare, Aya’s Natural Treasures natural bath and body products,  Try Vegan’s newest line of apparel, Sullivan St Press, and Creature Comforts Stationery.

Young Legs will be providing the soundtrack on Sunday on stage.
