Morristown police donned their Santa caps on Friday to deliver teddy bears to kids at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital.
“We wanted to brighten the holidays for those kids stuck in the hospital for the holiday season. We hoped we cheered them up a bit with the bears. We met some terrific kids who were able to brighten the holiday season for us as well,” said Detective Brian LaBarre, president of PBA Local 43.
The holiday spirit continues on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, with a PBA food drive to benefit the Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry.
Morristown police will invite donors to “fill a cruiser” with food items outside the Kings Food Market on South Street, from 11 am to 4 pm, said Sgt. Mike Molnar.These items are requested:
