Morristown police advise that Abbett Avenue will be closed from 7 pm today–Friday, Dec. 2, 2016–through 4 pm on Saturday, Dec. 3, for repairs to a railroad crossing.

Project: Abbett Avenue Railroad Crossing Rehabilitation – Emergency Work
- Start Date / Duration: Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, 7:00 pm into Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 (afternoon completion anticipated).
- Saw-cutting and other prep work will occur starting 9:00 am Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 and will not cause any roads closures.
- Contractor for Morristown & Erie Railway: Tracks Unlimited, LLC.
- Work Descriptions: Replace failing railroad at-grade track crossing on Abbett Avenue.
Special Conditions:
- Abbett Avenue will be closed to through traffic Friday Dec. 2, 2016, 7:00 pm into afternoon of Saturday Dec. 3, 2016.
- Detours will be posted by Tracks Unlimited, LLC.
