The Interfaith Food Pantry and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County’s 10th Annual Morris Township Turkey Trot is less than a week away!

Burn off those calories before your Thanksgiving meal by joining your friends and neighbors early Thanksgiving morning at Ginty Field, Morris Township for the USATF-Certified 5k, 1 mile fun walk / run, or Kids’ Trot.

This year’s event is sponsored by Atlantic Sports Health, the official Health Care sponsor of the race.  Additional sponsors include Dixon Energy and North Jersey Development Group.

The Turkey Trot, which begins promptly at 8:30 am, has become a Thanksgiving morning tradition for people of all ages and abilities and continues to grow.

In 2015, the event drew over 3,000 registrants.  On-site registration for the rain-or-shine event opens at 7 am but participants are encouraged to avoid the lines and register today… online registration closes on Tuesday!

Proceeds from the Trot are shared between the Litereacy Volunteers of Morris County and Interfaith Food Pantry, benefitting Morris County families in need of assistance.

The Pantry currently serves more than 2,500 households each month, providing food, nutrition education, counseling and referral services, and the Literacy Volunteers offer free one-on-one and small group tutoring in basic English and ESL to more than 500 Morris County adults.
