Congratulations to Morristown’s varsity soccer team, which blanked Bergen Tech 3-0 at home on Thursday in the quarterfinal round of the North 1, Group 4 tournament.

Chris Matzuk scored off an assist by Matt Manion in the first half.  Aaron Castillo netted the second goal, assisted by Edwin Hernandez, who also assisted on the final tally, by Art Ruiz.

Goalkeeper Mike Storch made five saves en route to the shutout for second-seeded Morristown. His counterpart, Jovan Nikolic, turned aside nine shots for seventh-seeded Bergen Tech.

Next up for the Colonials: West Orange, on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, in Morris Township at the Harter Road field at 2 pm.
