Fairleigh Dickinson University never lacks for star power at its annual WAMfest.

Next month’s Words and Music Festival in Madison will spotlight pedal steel guitar wizard Robert Randolph, rapper and actor Ice-T, and one of our personal favorites, singer Brynn Stanley (FDU ’07), whose silky voice delivers the MorristownGreen.com theme song on many of our videos.

Randolph, who rocked last month’s Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival, will perform with his Family Band at 7 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, in the Italian Gardens of the Florham campus. Registration is required.

A conversation with Ice-T, a regular on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, is scheduled for 8 pm on Friday, Oct. 7, at Lenfell Hall.  Register here.

Other performers and personalities on this year’s WAMfest roster include Bill Stephney, who launched Public Enemy at Def Jam Records; radio host Sway Calloway; Kathy Moser, singing about recovery; the band SisterMonk; and the acoustic duo of Dina Hall and Andy Kilcoyne.  More details are here.

Past WAMfest guests have included Bruce Springsteen, Robert Pinsky, Roseanne Cash, Eugene Mirman, Jonathan Demme, Talib Kweli, Mark Morris and Neil Gaiman.
