We’ve heard some phenomenal 21st-century interpretations of 20th century musical icons around Greater Morristown over the last few weeks.

For starters, here is ukulele wizard James Hill, channeling Michael Jackson and Led Zeppelin.  These clips are from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, but you can see Hill this weekend in Whippany at the fourth annual New Jersey Uke Fest.

Next is the phenomenal Shun Ng, melding the Beatles with the man who bought (and sold) the Lennon-McCartney catalog, Michael Jackson.  Ng was so good as an opener at The Minstrel in Morris Township during the winter that he was invited back as a headliner last month.

Jimi Hendrix got his due last weekend at the sixth annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival. Here is the sensational Robert Randolph and the Family Band with Hey Joe, featuring Paul Pesco on lead:

Seventeen-year-old Quinn Sullivan was raised to respect his elders, too.  From last weekend’s Morristown Jazz & Blues Fest, here is his take on Hendrix…

…and then he tips his guitar to that other six-string deity, Mr. Clapton:

BONUS COVERS:  Shun Ng was blazing hot at The Minstrel in July. In these clips, he revisits Queen… and, with a hand from his fellow Berklee alum, Andy Prasa, does Stevie Wonder proud:
