The annual Fairy Day came to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township over the weekend, and with it fairy princesses of every kind.

It’s said that these magical, shy creatures only will appear if they have a special house.  If you’ve hiked or biked the numerous trails in the area, you’ve seen fairy houses built into the hollows and roots of trees.

All of the families that participated in Fairy Day used everything from arts and crafts to flowers to power tools to make sure that their fairy houses were the best they could be.

They built  quaint country houses, multi-level condos and everything in between.  The German Country Dancers brought their festive maypole and music to delight the crowd and the fairies, as everyone joined in the dancing.
