Officially, the summer of 2016 began at 6:34 pm on Monday.  What better way to welcome the season of sand and sea than with a tune from Hawaii?

This instrumental is delivered courtesy of Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel, who performed it at last month’s Folk Project Acoustic Getaway.

Craig and Sarah have tied the knot since their last visit to Greater Morristown, for last summer’s Uke New Jersey 3! festival.

Which reminds us… the New Jersey Uke Fest 2016 is just around the corner.

It’s scheduled for Aug. 26-28 at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey in Whippany, and on the Morristown Green.

The lineup is another winner: James Hill, Victor & Penny, Manitoba Hal, Jim Boggia and Cousin Earth.

Tickets are available at the Uke Fest website. We’ll have a lot more about the uke fest very soon.

In the meantime, here are a couple of extra video treats from Craig and Sarah.

Aloha!
