The Morris County courthouse in Morristown has reopened after being evacuated on Monday morning because of a smoky condition on the fourth floor.

Morris County Sheriff Ed Rochford said the problem turned out to be a blown motor in a refrigerator. Chris Walker  from the building and grounds department activated the alarm, the sheriff said.

Local firefighters responded to the scene.  The situation was resolved by 10:45 am.
