What happens when you add four Broadway singers and a four-piece Broadway band to the Bickford Theatre stage?

Find out on Friday, May 6, 2016, when Broadway at the Bickford presents songs from Rent, Tommy, Jersey Boys, Million Dollar Quartet, Next to Normal, and Hair.

This benefit for Morristown’s Lauren & Emily Failla Foundation  is courtesy of Broadway at Your Doorstep, a program that schedules stars on evenings off from their Broadway gigs to create a fully produced concert experience.

The lineup features singers Rachel Cohen McKenna, Shelley Thomas, Robb Sapp and Brandon Pearson, with Karen Dryer, RJ Rabin, Jeremy Wilms and Don Lieberman serving up the music.

The Bickford provides an intimate setting– every seat is excellent, with a stylish space for mingling before and after the show. Adding to the evening’s star power, Morristown native Blaire Reinhard Perrin of The Blaire Reinhard Band will emcee the concert.

Tickets are $75 and include hors d’oeuvres, wine, dessert and entry to a silent auction. Event drinks and edibles will be provided by The Flying Meatballs; there will be lots of gift cards, too, and a 50-bottle Wine Pull, with Main Street Wine Cellars of Madison.

Silent Auction highlights include a week-long vacation rental in Stone Harbor, NJ; a diamond slice necklace from MERZATTA; and a vacation resort package to your choice of five Caribbean Resorts.

Sisters Lauren and Emily Failla were Morristown High School graduates (Class of 2003 and 2000, respectively) whose legacies live on through local projects of the nonprofit foundation that honors their memories.

This year, the Failla Foundation has pledged a $2,000 scholarship for a graduating Morristown High senior, a $6,000 artist residency at Alexander Hamilton Elementary School, a $5,000 contribution to the arts mentorship program at the high school, and a $2,000 grant to the Morris Museum for its programming in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Morristown Medical Center.

The Foundation also supplies parents at the medical center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with care-packages and supplies for newborns.

Tickets are available at the Foundation’s website, or by calling Jessica Orr at 973-600-4814.  The Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre is at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morris Township.
