food revolution day april 2016On Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., empower yourself with valuable food knowledge at Know Your Food: A Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Event, sponsored by the Morris County Park Commission and held at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm at 73 Kahdena Road in Morris Township.

Jamie Oliver is a British chef best known for his television series The Naked Chef and for campaigning for healthier diets for school children in the U.S. and U.K.

“One of the main pillars of Jamie Oliver’s global Food Revolution emphasizes the importance of cooking from scratch, and what better place to embrace and educate about the benefits than a working historical farm,” said Mark Sutherland, manager of historic sites for the Morris County Park Commission.

“The animals at Fosterfields provide farm-fresh milk, cream, butter, eggs, and our historically accurate farming methods produce crops that are free from synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, dyes, and genetically modified organisms,” Sutherland said.
