‘How to Be Single’ author Liz Tuccillo talk for young professionals, Morristown, April 19

Young professionals in their 20s and 30s are invited to meet best-selling author Liz Tuccillo, for an evening of specialty cocktails, hors d’oeurvres and book signings on April 19, 2016, at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.

Tuccillo wrote for HBO’s Sex and the City.  Her self-help book He’s Just Not That Into You became a movie, as did her novel, How to Be Single.  Recently she wrote and directed her first feature film, Take Care.

The 6 pm event is scheduled for MPAC’s Starlight Room. Tickets are $15, or two for $25.

It’s part of a push by the theater to attract younger audiences.

“Building a love of the arts for a new generation is vital to our organization’s continued growth and long-term health,” MPAC General Manager Ed Kirchdoerffer said in a statement.

(Morristown) – Mayo Performing Arts Center welcomes people in their 20s and 30s to attend a special event with bestselling author Liz Tuccillo on Tuesday, April 19 at 6 pm. General admission tickets are $15 (2 for $25).

The event will include networking opportunities, hors d’oeurvres, an author book signing, specialty cocktails, beer & wine, a conversation with the author, backstage tours of the theater, and ticket raffle. The event will take place in MPAC’s Starlight Room.

Liz Tuccillo is best known for writing for two seasons on HBO’s “Sex and the City.” She went on to co-author the self-help book He’s Just Not That Into You, which was turned into a feature film of the same title. Her first novel,How to Be Single, has also been turned into a film that premiered in movie theaters on February 12th, 2016.

She is also the creator of the 2005 television series Related which aired on the WB network and worked on NBC’s “Smash.” She recently wrote and directed her first feature film “Take Care” and is currently developing Roz Chast’s graphic novel Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant for television.

Ms. Tuccillo will share highs and lows from her storied career in literature and show business, as well as insights into following your passion and achieving professional success.

“We hope that Conversation and Cocktails is the first in a series of fun and entertaining events for young patrons and professionals that will make people in their 20s and 30s more aware of the wonderfully diverse lineup at MPAC,” said Ed Kirchdoerffer, General Manager, MPAC.
